Electrical Manufacturing Engineer
Under general supervision and reporting to the Quality Operations Manager, The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for executing and expanding on key initiatives inside of the supplier quality organization, including the execution of various supplier quality engineering related activities such as compliance, qualification, production process validation, source inspection, metrics reporting, continuous improvement, Supplier Performance Reporting, and other Quality Improvement Activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own and lead supplier quality management activities for Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS)/Contract Manufacturer (CM) including requirements definition, qualification, production process
validation, source inspection, CAPA, metrics reporting, and continuous improvement - Guide product development teams on supplier selection, assessment, audit and development
decisions for EMS - Partner with manufacturing quality team to build a cohesive Quality System in compliance with
AS9100 & IS09001 - Scale supplier processes and quality systems to reduce defect parts-per-million (DPPM) with increasing
volumes - Subject matter expert in the disciplines of SMT, Polymerics, PCBA inspection and process control
- Lead external audit teams
- Influence supplier investments to reduce risk and improve delivered quality of components
- Establish and monitor supplier mechanisms for verifying production processes remain in control
- Analyze and improve supplier quality metrics
- Represent Customer Supplier Quality in cross-functional initiatives
- Travel as needed to accomplish program objectives.

General Requirements:

- Participates in product development teams as owner of supplier quality system requirements
- Split time between Customer facilities and visiting PCBA EMS supplier operations
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen
WORKING CONDITIONS
Productivity: Incumbents must perform work in an efficient, effective, and timely manner with minimal direction.
Mobility: Incumbents are required to participate in assigned physical activities which may include light lifting and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
Vision: Vision sufficient to read printed documents, computer screens, and observe behavior of others.
Environment: Typical office conditions, directly working Quality management team, working with the SMS team, and external customers.
Other Factors: Typical hours worked are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Incumbents may be required to work occasional extended hours and weekend overtime.
The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk (approximately 1-2 miles a day); sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee will occasionally drive long distances to and from various suppliers as needed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

Pay Range
$33.00-$55.00 per hour eligible for overtime, please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
