Metrology Salesperson
A Salesperson for Aerospace 3D Inspection Metrology Services is responsible for selling precision measurement solutions to aerospace clients, including 3D inspection equipment and associated services. This role involves understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions, and building strong relationships with both existing and potential customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Customer Relationship Management:
- Identify and develop sales opportunities with aerospace companies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including end-users and decision-makers.
- Present and promote 3D inspection equipment and related services.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for sales.
- Provide ongoing support to customers, including technical assistance and training.
- Technical Expertise:
- Develop a strong understanding of 3D inspection technology, including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other related equipment.
- Apply technical knowledge to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technical personnel to provide solutions that meet specific requirements.
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor industry trends and competitive activities.
- Analyze market potential and identify new sales opportunities.
- Prepare sales reports and presentations for management.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field is often preferred.
- Previous sales experience in the aerospace industry or related fields is advantageous.
- Experience with 3D inspection equipment and metrology principles is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using 3D inspection software and equipment.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and their application in aerospace manufacturing.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
